Jill Kerr

Vice President, Industry Development

Jill KerrJill Kerr is vice president of industry development at CompTIA. She is responsible for North American sales of CompTIA products and services, including membership, events and sponsorships.

Ms. Kerr has more than 20 years experience in the technology industry and has served in executive leadership positions in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. For 10 years, Ms. Kerr served as the President of The ASCII Group, Inc. the nation's largest buying group of independent computer resellers with system-wide sales of over $11 billion. In this position, she was responsible for managing the company’s sales and marketing programs as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. During her tenure, The ASCII Group grew from 400 members to more than 2,000 members in the United States and Canada. Additionally, Ms. Kerr created and introduced ASCII’s popular Sales Boot Camp, a program for which she was profiled in Sales and Marketing Management Magazine.

Ms. Kerr has also previously served as the director of marketing for CompTIA, when she opened and ran the association’s first Silicon Valley office. She began her association career in the membership department of ADAPSO: The Computer Software and Services Industry Association. She has also served as the VP of Sales for two Internet ventures – eDeposit.com and LegalNotice.org.

Ms. Kerr holds a B.A. in Communications Studies from Muhlenberg College and has completed advanced studies in e-commerce management at The University of Virginia.
