Karen Lukasik
Vice President, Operations

Karen Lukasik is the vice president of operations for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the leading trade association for the world’s information technology (IT) industry. She leads the strategic planning and execution of all operations and administrative functions for CompTIA offices around the world. Ms. Lukasik’s responsibilities include initiatives and projects in IT, database management, facilities management, telecommunications, and administrative services.

During her career with CompTIA, Ms. Lukasik has overseen the purchase and renovation of the association’s Washington, D.C. office; the leasing of CompTIA’s current headquarters in suburban Chicago; and the relocation of the organization’s headquarters to larger offices as CompTIA grew in both numbers of members and professional staff.

In the area of technology, she has directed operational components to support CompTIA’s web-based, not-for-profit membership database; including the online store,  event and committee management; member billing and fundraising; and established the association’s first IT department.

Ms. Lukasik also was responsible for management and oversight as CompTIA successfully integrated the acquisition of four other organizations in recent years, including the Application Service Provider Industry Consortium, Convergent Technologies Pioneers, Electronic Industry Data Exchange Group, and the Information Technology Training Association.

Prior to joining CompTIA, Ms. Lukasik held administrative and operations positions with Micro Data Base Systems, Inc.; Micro: Main Consultants, Inc.; and Zettler Software, Inc.
