group promotes collaboratively defined business and technology standards

among supply chain partners in the computing industry. The
group
also supports
SoftwareCEO, a newsletter and informational portal
for software executives.
CompTIA's e-business initiatives intend to develop and expand
e-Business practices and technologies, including:
- Reducing time-to-market for e-Business products and services
- Reducing e-Business product development and implementation
costs
- Introduce electronic technologies into new markets
- Enhance productivity of e-Business systems
- Penetrate new markets and leverage brand awareness
CompTIA e-Commerce initiatives leverage memberships' experience
and expertise by identifying, influencing and implementing
best practices for electronic transactions in the rapidly
converging computer and communications markets. Maintaining
close relationships with significant e-commerce players encourages
members to participate in shaping the industry as they grow
their businesses.
CompTIA actively collaborates with various e-commerce, standards-setting
organizations through our workgroups and staff efforts,
and we continue to have a close working relationship with
the European Committee For Standardization/Information Society
Standardization System (CEN/ISSS), OASIS/ebXML, OASIS/UBL,
Open Applications Group, Inc. (OAGI), RosettaNet and other
XML standards.
