ECTF Work Areas: Hardware
The hardware work area is concerned with defining resolving interoperability
issues between media busses for computer telephony media transport and other
aspects of switching fabric implementation and architectures for high-availability
systems.
The goals of hardware work area include addressing the challenges for
system developers and integrators that wish to use mixed hardware platforms
or to provide portability across hardware platforms.
The Area Director (AD) position for the hardware interoperability work area
is currently vacant.

The following specifications have been published in the hardware work area:

CT Bus for PCI
This implementation agreement provides information to implement a CT bus
interface at the physical layer for PCI computer chassis card slots. The
card level definition of the overall CT bus specification, will drive new
applications and help open new markets by providing flexibility to equipment
manufactures, value-added resellers, system integrators, and those building
computer based telecommunications applications.

This implementation agreement provides information to implement a CT bus
interface at the physical layer for compact PCI card slots.
