Research
Process
CompTIA research focuses on issues that are the primary drivers
of significant trends in the technology community. Quality data
is obtained by soliciting information through representative
samples of the target population. Decision-makers in every industry
are queried.
CompTIA performs both quantitative and qualitative original
research. Qualitative research is used to gain insight into
what a target audience is thinking (more open-ended type questions,
often based on focus groups) and results are often generalized.
Quantitative research involves the measurement of data (typically
surveys) with the results being more detailed (and usually convey
frequencies, means, percentages, etc.).
Only the best vendors, including Harris Interactive, Kotler
Marketing Group, TNS Prognostics and The Yankee Group, are commissioned
to perform research projects. Web site visitors and members
are also actively engaged through CompTIA online surveys.
Complete reports, white papers and web poll results
