CompTIA Rules and Regulations Community

The Rules and Regulations web-portal was created by representatives from the Information Technology (IT) industry to provide IT resellers, hardware/software/service providers and consumers a resource to accomplish the following:

• Gain an overview understanding of the Rules and Regulations presented (HIPPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley) and how they impact the IT industry and the companies you work with.
• Identify potential areas of concern/liability for companies who provide IT services and support to companies who are affected by such legislation.
• Identify basic concepts of the legislation in order to identify emerging market revenue (service and support) opportunities surrounding the legislation.
• Provide a list of additional resources that members could draw upon to gain a better and quicker understanding of the legislation and service and support opportunities.
• Provide and understanding of what skills/certifications are useful in providing services and support in areas impacted by these legislations.
• Provide information for partnering opportunities involved with servicing and supporting these legislations.
• Provide a forum where CompTIA members can ask questions and exchange information regarding these legislations with other CompTIA members.
• Up to date news on the legislations as they move from law to actual implementation.
• Provide a linkage between resellers and potential partners.
